Dear Parent,
As a Church, we feel very strongly that we have a calling to wisely and faithfully steward the resources that God has entrusted to us. In that effort, we are always evaluating our structure, and the effectiveness of our structure, so that we may accomplish the mission for which God has called us to pursue.
Over the past few months, members of our Elder Board (called the Executive Team in our structure) have been evaluating our staffing structure, seeking to make sure we are effectively utilizing our resources in the effort of fulfilling the Great Commission. This process has been painful, but also productive as we have a greater sense of clarity around how we are approaching our mission as a Church.
With that, we want to communicate to you as a parent of a student in our Youth Ministry, that this process has lead us to make a transition in the leadership of our Youth Ministry. We have made an incredibly difficult decision to release Josh Como, as the part-time Youth Director, and are bringing the Youth Ministry under the position of Student and Family Ministries. We believe that this will ultimately help us do a better job of assisting our students in the transition from our Harvest Kids ministry into our Youth Ministry, as well as allow us to develop a comprehensive and holistic plan for Student Discipleship all the way from grade school to high school.
Needless to say, this was a difficult decision, one that was made with great prayer and consideration. As a Pastor, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Josh and Trissa Como for their contributions and service to the Kingdom, here at Harvest Springs and in the community over the past several years. I am praying for, and believing God for, even better things for them in the future, and I would love if you would join me in that endeavor!
