“And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” Romans 10:14
Have you ever walk by a piece of garbage on the ground and think “Oh, someone will grab that.” and then walk on past? Have you ever driven past a person who was broken down and think, “Oh, someone will stop and help them.” Have you ever heard about an opportunity to serve somewhere in the community and think, “Oh, I’m sure someone else will be willing to serve there.”
What if we think the same thing about Redemptive Relationships? What if we assume that someone else will love our neighbor, but no one ever does? What if we assume that someone else will invite our co-worker to Church, but no one ever does? What if we assume that our friends will reject the gospel, and so we never share the truth with them… and neither does anyone else? How can anyone “believe in one of whom they have not heard?” And how can they hear without someone telling them?
We can’t assume that someone else will reach out to those whom God places in our path. As disciples, we must make the most of every opportunity that God gives us. (Ephesians 5:16)
